The end of the world is moving from the trenches into the catacombs as the new kid on the block, Trench Crusade, is teaming up with popular YouTuber EonsOfBattle for some new terrain.
I’ve been on the Trench Crusade bandwagon for a while now (disclaimer at the end), and I’ve regularly expressed my view that people get too hung up on the Trench part of the name. All manner of battlefields are fun to fight on, so it’s great to see something new and official happening that is not just more trenches.
The Catacombs of the Blessed Dead will be launching in September on the crowdfunding platform Gamefound, and will have both physical and STL offerings. The terrain includes all the catacomb walls you can shake a bag of bones at, along with scatter terrain, duckboard bridges, and lots of small decorative pieces to attach.
The campaign will also include some troops, with the Trench Sappers getting the tough duty of trying to clear out the catacombs, while the demonic Grace of Flesh will prove to be a terrible threat to anyone who sets foot in the dank catacombs.
All in all, this looks great, and I am eager to see this terrain on my own gaming table.
Disclaimer: I worked with the Trench Crusade team on their initial announcement and full Kickstarter campaign trailers, and I regularly do Trench Crusade content on my YouTube channel.
