One of the best things about Dungeons & Dragons is the license that allows other companies to produce compatible items for the system. While many people play the game via Theater of the Mind, or online tools, lots of folks out there still enjoy a good miniature-based session, which is where Epic Encounters from Steamforged comes in.

The UK-based company designs boxed sets that contain all you need for a solid adventure, including some high-quality miniatures and maps. Two new boxed sets unleash yet more adventures for people to dive into, each one featuring a unique scenario and a double-sided map to play on.

  • Bridge of the Duergar Cult – Venture into the deepest depths of the earth, through the dank tunnels and darkness to take on a wicked Duergar cult with devilish intentions. You’ll meet them in the midst of their ritual to raise an earth shattering demon, but can you stop them in time?
  • Circle of the Demon Prince – What awaits your players beyond the bridge? The Circle of the Demon Prince set takes your brave adventurers right into the summoning chamber! Glowing chains lay strewn across the chamber floor, ready to hold the huge demon about to emerge from it’s hellish realm. The sickly light of huge purple gemstones fills the chambers, and sparks of magical energy dart around the space. Hewn rock walls studded with diamonds reflect the large swirling summoning circle, barely containing the dark magical energies of the realms beyond.

You can pick up both from the Steamforged Games website.

Aidan started in the hobby all the way back in 1989 with Hero Quest, quickly getting into Space Crusade, and then on into second edition Warhammer 40,000. Over the years he has played just about everything you can think of, but current favorite are Cyberpunk Red Combat Zone, Horus Heresy, Trench Crusade, and Dungeons and Dragons.
